RAJA AMPAT DIVING AREA IN INDONESIA

The Raja Ampat area of Northwest Irian Jaya is filled with islands, surrounded by reefs and inundated with fish! After 9 years in the area we have only begun to discover the natural treasures awaiting us on each dive. The area's reefs are covered in a diverse selection of both hard and soft corals. Most of the areas reefs are pristine, with mile after mile of perfect hard corals, drift after drift of Dendronephya (soft) corals of many species and colors ranging from brilliant red, to shocking yellow pretty pink and exotic purple. Most reef dives are very colorful. Among, above, and on top of the corals are fish. Schooling fish, solitary fish, beautiful fish, ugly fish, large fish, small fish! Some fish that are considered to be rare in many parts of the world are abundant in the Raja Ampat area. For example, many Sargassum Frogfish are found in the floating weed in front of the dive resort. Wobbegong Sharks are found on many dives, often lying atop perfect table corals like a fish carefully arranged by a chef on a dinner plate. The Epaulette Shark, a small shark only a foot long, is numerous and found very often on night dives in the seagrass or even on the shelf of a wall dive. Giant Clams are found at many of our dive sites. These clams are large enough to swallow a child, but are embedded in the reef and covered with soft corals, tunicates and sponges so thick they can barely close their shells. Wai Island has a "Giant Clam Area" just off the beach. The offshore reef sites, especially those near Kri Island are poplulated with MEGATONS of schooling fish! Many different species school in the current sometimes mixing so that a diver is surrounded by a chaotic mass of fish life. The most common to see are barracuda, jacks, bannerfish, surgeonfish, fusiliers, parrotfish and snappers. All in many species. The fish are so dense that they sometimes block the view of your dive buddy or the surface! Most dives are drift dives due to strong currents in the area. The currents provide nutrients for the outstanding quantity and variety of fish life and corals in the area. A fabulous variety of colorful soft corals and plenty of reef fish are found at most sites. Large schools of fish are known to populate some areas, pelagics such as sharks, Manta and Mobula Rays, dolphin, whales and turtles are frequent sights. Visibility is good, but not spectacular, and is best in the morning dives. The water temperature is 82°-84°F (28°-29°C) year round. The average sea surface temperature between Nov and Apr is 28°C and can drop up to 2°C in the south with the SE trade winds from May to Oct. Actual values vary very little from average values being within 2°C on 90% of occasions.
The Raja Ampat area is not only stunning underwater. Topside, the islands have a very diverse topography with steep mountain shores and deserted white sand beaches. The area is far off the beaten track and is rarely visited by foreigners. The raw beauty of the islands will fascinate you. It's dense jungle interior is known for its many orchids and the paradise birds. Waigeo and Batanta have the Wilson's and the Red Bird of Paradise both endemic to this area, as well as abundantly present Lorikeets, Parrots, Kingfishers, Eagles and Hornbills.

There I felt very cold when other season instead of summer was coming especially winter. In summer we can wear thin clothing such as “batik” from Indonesia. Missing Rose Trace (Part 7)

Although located a bit remote but the Grass Valley has a pretty good tourism potential. Local government has also provided access road to this area, although still a rocky road . Farther than the distance traveled by walking, because the road is available for this vehicle should be around two hills.

Like the other tourist areas, in the Grass Valley there are also some pretty luxurious villa buildings. Three of them are named in Spanish,
Italian or other names in foreign languages , such as Villa Esperanza, Green Valley Villa, and Villa Cleopatra. There are some more modest villas too, such as Orchid villa and Jasmine villa.

There is also an old building in the form of a long hall. If we get into this building, there is a corridor that extends well. Beside the corridor there are empty rooms with no beds for rent. But it is provided roll mat that can be held for bedding. While on the left and right alley lined former chair made of foam rubber upholstered plastic seat that has been torn here and there. Some sofas are also equipped with small pillows. According to the guards ward, they also provide thick blankets for those who need them. There are four bathrooms in the rear of the building.

The next night, Dul went on strike. He no longer wants to sleep in a tent like last night, because he was scared, chased by a black shadow that seemed to roam around their tents. He said that it is clearly not human, but a ghost ...
"I do not want any more sleep in the tent, Yo ..Please get me lodging around here,.... "
"Come on,. It’s not a ghost! "Said Jalu .
"Obviously I saw the mysterious shadow . The image of a black robe with sharp eyes that was standing approximately ten feet in front of me."Dul told them again to convince his friends. Clearly last night that he was not dreaming.

Finally Aryo, Jalu and Iqbal surrendered. They were sorry to see Dul apparently still traumatized by the incident last night. Then they tried to find where Dul could sleep tonight, namely the residence hall.

"Wait here a minute. I want to look around inside, "said Aryo to his friends in front of the ward. He immediately came into the hall, and look at the situation there.
Soon Aryo came back and told Dul.

"There's an empty sofa on the right. You can sleep there. I had also a blanket leased for you, Dul. Come in ! Good night, dear.... "

Dul hesitated for a moment and then stepped inside. He saw along the corridor in the ward were shining with dim lights . The rooms there appeared to be full of people. Some are lying, and some are sitting on the sofas . When he looked at the sofas along the hallway, he also found a lot of people sit back half snooze.

On the right side there is an empty single seat. Dul immediately threw his body on it. The backpack filled with food was placed at his side. While he had left the backpack containing clothing at the camp. He seemed to begin getting sleepy. He slowly pulled then his blanket And got ready to sleep. Before his eyes closed, he glimpsed a little girl sleeping on the couch across the pathway. The girl was asleep as she bent her knees under her chin and wrapped her arms holding her feet.

It seems like only an instant he was asleep, when suddenly Dul heard a smooth sound that woke up him.
"Brother, would you go with me a minute ...?"

Dul awakened immediately.
"Please accompany me to the front of this house. My father is in the villa there.... "

Dul immediately rubbed his eyes briefly, to make sure whether he was dreaming or not. Apparently the little girl had been seen standing in front of his nose.... He did not believe it.
"Ahh .., maybe I'm dreaming ..." he thought.

But the fine voice echoed in his ears again, this time with a tone of force:
"Come on, brother .... Please go with me.... Just a minute ... "

Not yet had he answered, suddenly the girl's hand pulled Dul’s arm, forcing him to stand up, then dragged the fat body to move out of the room. Dul staggered for a moment, almost tripped over his blanket. He was only aware that he was not dreaming. Half an attractive girl ran along the corridor with Dul in her arm, and then jumped out of the ward.

Beyond the dark, cold air immediately ambushed their faces. The girl still dragging him ran to an existing villa nearby.
"Come on, quickly ! "her voice sounded again and again faintly….

Missing Rose Trace (Part 6)

Twilight sun began to peek in between the hills around the lake, when four teenagers were excitedly set up a tent. Meanwhile, near the lake, uncle Samin was watching their activities while at rest and enjoying cigarettes he was carrying. When finished setting up camp, Iqbal dropped to sit on the grass. He then reached into his backpack on the side, pulled out a book reading.

The evening began to cover the Grass Valley when they sat around the campfire. Meanwhile Jalu and Iqbal was busy preparing a simple dinner for them. The cool evening breeze began to bite the bone to make them close up jacket respectively. It’s silent everywhere. Peace and silence blanketed the Grass Valley . The soft sounds is only heard from crickets and the occasionally from wild beasts in the distance.

The night wore on; and the night air was getting cold. Thick fog began to fall over the lake. Aryo and Iqbal tried hard not to sleep, though it seems their eyes began to feel heavy to hold off. Half an hour ago uncle Samin went into his tent to sleep. Soft snoring sounds broke the silence of the night.
While in the distance a flash of shadow watched them, perfectly camouflaged in the dark of the valley ... ...

"Dul, wake up ...! "Shaking Dul’s shoulders, Iqbal tried to wake him from his beautiful dream.
Meanwhile, Dul seemed not to budge and still asleep. For several minutes, Iqbal tried to awaken him again, but it failed, too.
"Well, it should be woken up by violence ...” Iqbal thought as he walked toward the lake.

"Wake up...wake up! "Iqbal splashed Dul’s face with cold lake water.
"Tsunami ... tsunami ...! "Shouted Dul. He woke up with great shock, and thought that the water splashes came from a tsunami waves. And Iqbal smiled. His mission to wake up Dul had been successful.

The night passed without anything happening. The next day there was little new excitement in the tent of the Four Teens. After breakfast, Jalu found a threatening letter, tucked at the top of their tent. The content of the letter was short, written on a small paper-sized business card. This warning letter was sent without the name of the sender and without the address to whom, too. .Hastily Jalu called his friends.

"Let me see, Lu" Aryo grab soon the letters from Jalu, then read it loudly: - " DO NOT INTERFERE ... ...., IF YOU WANT TO BE SAFE ... .. !!!" -
"Uhh ...., This obviously fake ... I thinks there were young children who happened to pass by here tonight." Aryo sniffed her fingers as he tore the paper into small bits, and then threw it into the furnace cooking fire…..

Missing Rose Trace (Part 5)

It was too early. Only a few pale green colors that looked deliberately departed from their homes before dawn. The four teens were preparing to go to the Grass Valley.

"Have you all take jackets ? It’s very cold on the mountain ... "Aunt Ruspita warned, " Dul…,why do you not wear jeans ....?"
"He's already too fat, Auntie... .."Said Jalu.
"It's no one left behind ....?" asked Aunt once again, as she escorted them up to the gate, then waved her hand, "Be careful on the road ... ..!"

And to uncle Jatomo, Aunt said: "In the public transportation terminal later, don’t forget to buy vegetables and fruits for the children, and also for us at home ..."

They waved to aunt Ruspita who was still standing at the gate, when an old jeep started moving . Along the road leading to the city's last transportation terminal, they did not speak much, because they were still sleepy.

At the public transportation terminal, there were a lot of people selling vegetables and fruits. Uncle immediately purchased the goods aunt Ruspita ordered earlier, and handed then to Iqbal. Furthermore, Uncle saw someone sitting on a bench near the fruit seller. Turns out he was one of the guides, whose name was Samin .. After haggling about fees, uncle Jatomo then gave him money and told him:

"Uncle Samin, I entrusted the guard of children to you. If anyone naughty, just warn him.. .. "
Uncle Samin nodded. Then Uncle Jatomo waved his hand:
"Goodbye, kids .... Be careful on the road... .."

Then they began traveling. The expedition was led by Iqbal. By carrying a backpack containing clothing and books, he walked at the front. His body is tall, big and sturdy like an athlete. He hold a heavy load on his back sag. He also brought a sleeping bag rolls.

Then followed by Aryo who also carried the same innate. In addition to his books also insert medical supplies and equipment normally carried mountaineer like a compass, pocket knives, candles, matches, flashlight, and also yarn and needles.

Next Jalu with his skinny body, carried a backpack on his shoulders. Next in the procession was the teenager Dul with distended stomach, brought two backpacks, one containing clothes, and the other foods. Along the way he never stopped chewing, though breathing heavily.

In closing ranks, it looked ucle Samin, the guide. His body was muscular, tall and strong. He inherited a fairly carry weight, such as coil folding tent, cooking equipment, including pots, frying pan and other camp equipment. Apparently he was adequately trained to shoulder the heavy burden. So he brought toll the stuff easily without the slightest difficulty. Robust and steady pace, not staggered like Dul.

The Grass Valley, that's the location where the four teens were going to travel.. People call it Grass Valley because in the surrounding overgrown grass weeds. But often in the dry season stretch of grass was on fire so that scars the dry bushes.
According to the story of uncle Samin, in recent years there have lost a lot of persons . So people often call it the valley of missing persons. That’s the history of Grass Valley ...
Although the peak of the mountain is far, but there already chilly air, especially in the dry season it is today. . The Four teens were walking down a path up the dark and damp. The sky grew brighter so slowly.
At the left and right of the path there was overgrown with shrubs and wild grasses. As far as the eyes could see, the invisible presence of rice fields.

"Rainfall in the area here is very small. Here are far from rivers. The land is hard and rocky. " uncle Samin told them.
By the till at the edge of the first village, they looked narrow fields here and there. This rain-fed fields, depends entirely on irrigation only from rain.
They had reached the first village before noon. They stopped, rested and enjoyed lunch .

"Grumbul Pringsewu, the name of this village," said uncle Sámin who later explained that it means the village with thousand of bamboo trees.

After lunch and rest sufficiently, Aryo motioned to depart. Previously, he turned first to the direction he sees Dul still smack with food in its mouth.
"What, already finished eating, Dul?"
"Do not eat all of your lunch, Dul," Jalu said sarcastically as he rose. Dul the pudgy cheeks looked flushed for a moment, blushing. The others smiled. With slow motion Dul finally stood up. Her legs looked tense body weight-bearing gain weight, especially when he started carrying a backpack on his shoulders. Almost alone he sat back, if Iqbal does not quickly grab his arm.

The journey from the village of Pringsewu began to climb. This condition causes their foot steps are not as fast as earlier, especially Dul who now looks lagging far behind. Therefore, Iqbal who are in front, feeling sorry, then slow motion of her legs. They walked in silence. No more residual breath to speak.
Meanwhile the sun in the sky began to spray them with a light silvery white color. But the warmth of the rays it still could not beat the cool mountain air in the vicinity. However, the droplets of sweat began to burst out in their faces. Only uncle Samin himself who seemed still in good shape. Steady stride. Even now he leads in the vanguard with a greater and greater distance away from the group of four teens.

Finally, they also arrived at the Grass Valley in the afternoon. That Valley is a campsite that is located at the bottom of a valley. To get there we must pass through wild grass that thrives. Once down to the valley floor, they saw the beauty of the place. A small lake lies in front of them, with a very clear water, surrounded by a verdant expanse of hills around it. The voices of some forest animals drifted from this place, makes perfect symphony of nature. Expanse of white clouds that marched in the sky refract beautiful shadows on the water, because the lake is so clear. Near the lake there is an empty field is pretty wide, which is usually the place set up tents for people who often camped here.

At the dinner table seemed contrived breakfast served aunt Ruspita. There are a few pieces of fried chicken a la Kentucky Fried Chicken, accompanied by slices of fried potatoes. There were omelettes containing sausages. Plus green salad with hot chili. All warm served with savory aromas. Four teenagers seemed engrossed in devouring the food dish on the table. They do not have time to speak, as each is enjoying a delicious meal.
Aryo finished eating first.

"Thank God ...." Aryo soon rose. He went to take the morning newspaper. After sitting back, his eyes began to crawl the entire newspaper page quickly, while reading silently. But on one occasion he found a very interesting topic .Then he read it loudly so that the others can come to hear.

"There has been missed a beautiful rose. It might be stolen. And some people said that the event happened in the Grass Valley ... ... .These words came without conscious spontaneously out of the mouth of a junior high school student, as stated by a reliable source told Local News. Yesterday some school pupils had been unconscious because of trance from the spirit possessed……”

Aryo stop reading for a moment. His face looked frowning. He was thinking .as his hand scratching his curly hair.

"Go on , Yo !", hissed Jalu. He could not wait, while continuing his morning breakfast.
"Emm .... told the Local News…... Possession occurred in junior high school in this city recently. This time at least five female students’ spirit possessed after school.. They were taken to the school health unit. But they become short of breath. Even they were screaming hysterically ... ".

Patiently Aryo continue reading.
"The five girls were eventually taken to the mosque school. Once comforted by a cleric, they look better. Once aware, one of them told me what happened during the spirit possessed.

She said she heard a whisper, 'if you with your friends want to heal, you must repair first my house damaged during you built the tent with your friends the day before yesterday. And also restore my lost rose in the Grass Valley ‘ .... “

Aryo put newspaper on the table. "Wow, it’s scary ....,"he snorted then.

Then they were silent thought. Based on the news they thoughtthere was something strange and mysterious has happened in the Grass Valley. It may be true that there is someone who is lost in a strange way. Maybe the news is the police code for people to be careful when they go to the Grass Valley.

After breakfast they began to plan a series task that Jalu proposed earlier. They got moved to the garden beside the house. There was a round table which sufficiently wide and surrounded by six seats. Iqbal said that uncle Jatomo likes to hold a garden party with all family there.
The morning air was clear enough. The wind blew faintly as if caressing affection that grows lush foliage of trees shade the garden.

"Grass Valley? Where is it? "asked Aryo.
"According to you, is it true that chatter ... .., I mean to be trusted or not?" said Iqbal. In his eyes reflected a particle of doubt.
"It's not a matter of believing or not, Bal ...., I think it can be an important ingredient of our adventures this holiday. ,,,,,,,"said Aryo.
"Then, how do we test the truth of the story, Yo?" asked Iqbal again.
"This is what we should think from now on .... Hi, Dul ... any suggestions?"

Dul did not response. A moment frowning. Hastily he ate a piece of banana in the mouth. Then haltingly asked.
"Um ... .. Ehmm .... what is the problem ...?"

Chuckling all who sit at the table there. Dul did look like someone who had just awakened from deep sleep.

"Possessed by the devil ...," Aryo later explained, "What really possessed it had something to do with things supernatural, mystery and superstition?"
"I think so ... ..," said Dul lightly.
"Is there Grass Valley on a map of the island of Java?" continued Aryo.
"Um ... I don’t know. You must ask to our clever friend. I'm sure, he would know, " said Dul , tilting his chin toward Jalu.

At the end of the discussion, they agreed to find out where the Grass Valley is located. They are planning to go there in order to investigate whether or not true the stories written in the newspaper that morning.

Uncle Jatomo drove his old Jeep carrying four teens .Occasionally the car's speed is slowed down when passing a traditional market that was held at the curb. The longer they passed the number of houses become rare. They are alternated by the rows of large trees that stand upright along the road.. Some of them seem as pine trees that line up neatly.

Suddenly the road they passed was changed from the asphalt road that is straight and flat to the cubed stones road which winding up and down across the hills. The breeze that caressed their faces were getting colder and colder. The atmosphere was more cool and quiet.

Uncle Jatomo’s old car roar loud silence of the hills divide. Sometimes the machine is roaring again when crossing a rather steep incline. Along the road winding hills that looked deserted. Only a few vehicles passing in opposite directions with them. This situation is completely different with some time ago when they had just left the train station.

"This is very quiet, Uncle?" said Jalu watching the road in front of him.
"Well, this is the way to the villages . There is little public transport from villages to cities, "said uncle Jatomo.

The old jeep engine is roaring again as it passes through a steep incline. Aryo secretly amazed at uncle Jatomo’s skill behind the steering wheel, passes the thrilling heart routes. .
After a long climb, the road ahead begins to decline sharply, but still winding. In the distance loomed over a river that flows. The water is clear, flowing in between the big rocks.

"This is river Gintung," uncle Jatomo explained when the jeep passed over the bridge.

Gurgling sound of the river water was clear. While in the vicinity of the river seen some people were keen to mine sand and stone. Along the way it piled up heaps of sand and stone mound. Ready to be exchanged with daily living needs, including rice.

"There are people who live around the river. A part them work as sand miners ," said uncle Jatomo seemed to answer the question raging in the minds of Four teens . "Periodically, there are people from the town who bought their mining products to be used as the foundation and building materials."

Eventually they arrived at the rural areas. Rows of houses that they take more and more. At the edge of a road there is a house with the traditional architecture of Java. The building resembles a huge marquee. On the right the left the pavilion there is a smaller house, Java-style buildings as well.

"What place is that , Uncle?" asked Aryo, curiously. He did not have much time to read the text written in the monument when the car passing in front of it.
"That was the General Sudirman’s monument ," said Uncle, "In this village he grew up here. So that is a monument where he was born."
"Is the monument open to public , Uncle?" asked Iqbal.
"Yes. I'll take you there someday. There was a museum that contains the journey of life and struggle of General Sudirman during the war of Indonesia independence . "

The dusk arrived. While the Sun was shining with reddish pink color. Aryo was tired as well as the three other teenagers.

Finally the jeep turned slowly into the courtyard of a white .painted house that looks neat. The architecture of that tiny house is not less beautiful than the houses in the city. Its front yard is covered with blooming flowers .It looks lovely around a tiny fish pond as well.

"Well, boys, you're welcome now to my home !."

These uncle's words seemed to indicate the end point of this long journey throughout the day. The travel had been tiring, but not boring……

It’s seen in the train were four teenagers known as the Four Teens Gang. They are Aryo, Iqbal, Dul and Jalu. This morning when the sun was just shining its yellowish red color, they departed by train from the nearest railway station. Three days ago, in their discussions in the secret cave , they agreed to accept the invitation from uncle Jatomo , to  vacationing in the mountains.

"Yo, how long before we reached our destination ? "asked Dul, the fat boy.
"About three hours away,"replied  Aryo calmly. He is the leader of a the gang.
"Uhh ..., it’s still long. I am hungry  .... "said Dul, holding his fat belly ..
"Dul .... Dul .... ,  just be patient….Actually you must have  dieting in order to be  slim, " Jalu who’s  sitting beside Dul, muttered .

Less than ten minutes later, Dul already busy struggling with a plate of fried rice that was ordered  from the restoration .But, unfortunately this fried rice was also eaten by the other three friends !..
This vacation time is indeed special. They were invited on holiday to the mountains by Iqbal's uncle. They’ve already imagined how  fun holiday there. It certainly will bring another atmosphere of the daily seaside atmosphere that has been bored them. Is there any mystery which  will approach them in the mountains there? Who knows, it may be a kind of exciting adventure  they hunt ... ...
Finally the  train  arrived at the destination station. Long whistle shrieked, tore the frenzied atmosphere at the station. By  backpacks on their  shoulders , Aryo and colleagues rushed down from the train.
"Where's your uncle, Bal ? " asked  Dul, throwing his eyes around him , sweeping the crowd at the station.
"Where ..., huh? He  may be late  .... " replied  Iqbal.  looked around too.
"Let us  wait for him there ," said Aryo, pointing to a rather empty corner of the platform.

The four teenagers rushed to the spot, then sit on the floor.
About a quarter of an hour later, a middle-aged man looked hurriedly towards them. His face looks shiny, black, full of sweat stream.

"Uncle ....!" Iqbal shouted, waving his hand toward his uncle.
The old figure smiled and came  toward  Iqbal. The  Iqbal’s three friends  immediately got up, welcomed the arrival of Iqbal's uncle.

"My friends, this is my uncle Jatomo ... ..., ," Iqbal hastily introduced his uncle..

Uncle Jatomo immediately shook their hands, one after another. A cheerful  smile’s still tugging at his lips. While his eyes are shining to welcome the Four Teens Gang……

By dawn in one morning of the dry season, the air was cold. The sky above was still black-grey dark sprinkled with a few stars fading soon. On the eastern horizon swallowed up the orange reddish light The sound of azan echoed dawn just around the fishing village of Muara Legi, where the Four Teens Gang live on the beach.

Iqbal, a teenager with a high body figure, big and strong like an athlete, was awake. He is a member of the gang. Actually on the first day of this holiday he wants to wake up later . But because he’s used to get up early everyday, Iqbal’s eyes were not willing to compromise to get lazy in bed. Moreover, he was deliberately to get up as early as possible. There's something that should be immediately communicated to the other three friends of the group. Last night he received a message that uncle Jatomo , his father's brother, invited him to have a vacation in uncle's home there far on the mountain.

"Bal, you know uncle Jatomo , don’t you ...?" said his father last night.
"Is my Uncle who lives there on the mountain ...?"
"That’s right. Last night he called me and said that he’ll be glad if you have a vacation this year in his home ... .. "
"There, at a place far in the mountain ...?" interrupted Iqbal.

He immediately thought of how far the location of the uncle's house that located even in a remote village on the mountain.
"Well, it’s so far away ... ... ...." he said with inner doubt.
"If you want to go there, you can invite your friends too, because according to your uncle you might have a very challenging adventure ... .."

Then his father explains what uncle’s challenging invitation. Hearing this explanation , Iqbal’s heart suddenly jumps up for joy. His doubted feeling that had hung heavy in the chest, now vanished. He thought that Aryo, Jalu and Dul, the fat boy, will surely agree with the holidays on the mountain ....

It would be a great vacation ! And how nice to breathe the clean, cool and fresh mountain air ... .. Therefore, he wanted to transfer good news immediately to his colleagues, So this early morning, after dawn prayers in the mosque, Iqbal hurried to leave to pick up three friends.

Firstly he run into Aryo’s house which situated not far from his home.
Aryo, a teenager with curly black hair, is the leader of the Four Teens Gang. He was seen jogging this morning in the front yard of the house.

"Yo, there's a good news ....," said Iqbal from a distance.
"'What’s it, Bal.?" asked Aryo, while he still on tiptoe quietly in place.
"My uncle has invited us ..."
"Your uncle ? Which one ?"
"That’s uncle Jatomo who lives far away on the mountain ... .. ."
"Are we going to talk about this invitation together with other friends now?"

Aryo looked thoughtful for a moment, thinking. But not long after he answered .
"Okay, I agree," he said.

Both teens then rushed off to the houses of Jalu and Dul. Incidentally they also have waken up.
They agreed to discuss the invitation from uncle Jatomo at their secret base which is a small cave located in the hills of the coast, where usually the Four Teens Gang hold a discussion meeting to discuss any problems they encounter ..

The secret cave locates some land that juts into hilly. The way is rather difficult and dangerous to reach this cave. They have to walk through a winding path, slippery, rocky and slightly uphill. Its location is hidden behind the hills. That’s why nobody knows it except them who often come here…….

Why Travel to China ?

The reason why I traveled to China was because its interesting history that I learned at school. Besides, they also have some wonderful tourist objects.

The Great Wall of China is world’s largest construction projects ever completed and is extended across the huge mountains of northern China. This remarkable construction is around 5,000 km in length and acquires thickness from 4.5m to 6m. While when it comes to its height, it’s up to 25 feet (7.5) meter tall. This ancient great wall was actually built of wood, earth, grass, and stone.

While Greek writers were scratching their works onto rough papyrus and farmers tilled rocky fields with wooden plows, Chinese historians brushed court records onto fine paper and farmers turned their soils with plows of iron. While Romans set tables of roughhewn linen and crude glassware, Chinese homes were graced with porcelain and fine silk.

Today, Western technological know-how and factory efficiency flow into a rejuvenated China creating startling contrasts - skyscrapers rise above carpets of rice paddies; Harry Potter DVDs arrive to marketplace in donkey-drawn carts. And so continues this rich interchange of knowledge and discovery between China and the West. What was for centuries the traffic of explorers, merchants, kings and emperors is now open to you, the curious traveler!
