Disney Cruise Line continues to disseminate information about the new cruise ship under construction. The new ship is named Disney Dream.
This Disney's new ship has been built more than 10 years. With 128 000 tons weight, Dream will include 14 decks and carry up to 4,000 passengers in addition to 1 480 officers and crew. In a style that is genuine Disney, the ship will feature the latest art technology so that guests will find an unexpected miracle throughout their voyage.
Part in the ship cabins are equipped with display screens, or "virtual peepholes" that will present the views of the real from the outside that provided by high definition cameras that are placed on the outside of the ship. Animated fairy tale characters also will appear from time to time.
AquaDuck will be the first water coaster in the cruise industry. AquaDuck is a tool that will create an exciting high-speed ride through the channel which shows the velocity, the acceleration is like climbing a hill and rolled in heavy rapids of the river-rafting. All of these sensations can be felt on the deck of the vessel. At one point, you're gliding 13 feet above the ship's side that allows you to look down into the ocean below 150 feet.
When tourists enter the Animator's Palate restaurant, they will find a room like an art studio decorated with character sketches, colorful stencil drawings and oil paintings. During the meal progresses, the images on the LCD screen mounted on the wall varies, showing views of the region which appears as the underwater world. The Crush, the turtle who loved the audience from the movie Finding Nemo, will swim around the screen and seemed to be involved with the guests in a live conversation. While Crush moving around the restaurant, the other characters from the film come too joined him, including Dory, Nemo, Squirt and Bruce.
Throughout the ship you will find framed LCD screens that come to life as guests walk by. Part of the Enchanted Art experience on the Disney Dream includes an interactive detective game where a special card allows guests to peer behind the virtual canvases to discover clues. You play the game at your own pace to solve the mystery. The game offers six potential villains, and the outcome will be different each time you play.
Disney's children club will feature an inter-active play floor as well as large screens where popular Disney characters come to life and interactive with the kids.
The Disney Dream will set sail on January 26, 2011.
